English language integration in Ireland

Our programmes offer participants, both young and old, the opportunity to practise their English while at the same time visiting the country, or in combination with a wide range of different sports and activities.

Whether you send your child for the first time, come alone as a teenager or adult, or even decide to travel altogether as a family, we guarantee that you will meet local people and speak English every day!

Why Northern Island?

We know how to offer our clients programmes that deliver real results and we will work with you to tailor programmes to specific requirements. We do not work with large groups and prefer our visitors when possible to come as individuals.

We know each of our visitors personally and ensure that each client can
reach us at any time during their stay. If choosing a home stay programme
with Northern Island we guarantee that each student will be the only student
of his/her nationality.

Our host families are carefully selected, vetted and personally visited prior to being accepted onto our programmes. We do our utmost to ensure that a student will feel comfortable with their hosts and try and match up interests and profiles as closely as possible. All of this takes extra work but guarantees a better experience.

People are extremely friendly. Don’t take it from us, this is the one thing that our visitors say to us time and time again. Hosts are so keen to welcome foreign visitors and to show them their country.

It is an extremely accessible country. There is something for everyone. Excellent golf courses: surfing on the Atlantic shores or hiking in the mountains. A family friendly destination the country has plenty of activities to suit all ages all year round.

That is for us the best sign that we are doing something right, and makes us very happy!

Our Team

Judi is originally from Co. Down, Northern Ireland. She is the founder of the company and has been working in the language travel industry since 2005. She speaks fluent Spanish and some French! What she likes most about her country is the friendliness of the people, something that she is reminded of each time she lands at an Irish airport!

Juan is from Barcelona, Spain. Co-founder of the company, he has also travelled extensively, working around Europe, Asia and Australia . Juan speaks fluent Spanish, Catalan and English. What he likes most about Ireland is the stunning countryside, the people and of course the famous fry for breakfast!

Emma is the friendly face of Northern Island and the sportiest of all of us! She is qualified PE teacher and what she loves most about Ireland is the scenery and the great outdoors. As she says there are just so many activities to do outdoors if you wrap up warm enough!

Sarah participated for 5 years herself on our programmes and has hosted so many visitors from France and Spain with her own family. She is sporty, friendly and loves nothing more than a few days away climbing the beautiful Mourne mountains! When not with Northern Island Sarah is starting a Spanish degree in England.
